Overview
This is a series of historically important texts in the domain of the exact and natural sciences, as well as in the history of science itself, with most works coming from France and dating from the second third of the 17th century to the end of the 19th century. The works are original texts, most of them quite rare. In many cases they are preceded by a short introduction designed to place them in their context and facilitate their use.
Scientific pioneers represented in the collection include: Roberval, Mersenne, Clairaut, Alembert, Lagrange, Newton, Rumford, Berthollet, Lavoisier, Bonnet, Lamarck, Harvey, and Geoffroy Saint-Hiliare.
