  1. 电子书中央许可升级定价与historical spend

When upgrading to an unlimited license, it should be taken into account when the institution has previously paid for multiple 1 or 3 user licenses.

In these cases the institution should be invoiced for the difference between the total spend to date on licenses for that title, rather than the current model of the difference between the unlimited user license and the cost of a single 1 or 3 user license.

  2. Add promo pricing deadlines in LibCentral

Waited to purchase an eBook until July 1 so funds would fall within the new FY. However, we did not know that there was a current promo on the pricing that ended June 30th. Today I logged in to LibCentral to purchase the eBook and the price was double. Add a note when there is a promo and when the promo expires. If I would have known this, I would have purchased the eBook back in June.

  3. invoice

Since some resellers are obliged to print out invoices for the accounting departement, it would be great if the invoices could be reduced to as few pages as possible. This would save tons of paper and therefore help save the planet :)

  4. Reconciling invoice payments into DDA deposit account more seamlessly

Recently our finance department paid a proforma invoice - I had to chase Proquest as the payment wasn't showing in our deposit account for nearly 3 weeks? This also happened with the previous deposit invoice. Can the process be made more seamless from your side so that deposit payments made into deposit accounts show immediately?

  5. 删除Non-Linear from current upgrade hierarchy; give it its own setting.

We have auto-upgrade enabled, with the expectation that a title will upgrade from one stable limited-user model to the next: 1u->3u->UU. Currently, NL is included in the auto-upgrade hierarchy: 1u->3u->NL->UU.

This is really inappropriate; NL is a very different sales model from the other three, since you can run out of uses. It's especially problematic if overuse of a 3u has triggered the upgrade - that indicates really heavy use, and really heavy use will run down an NL license very quickly - thus potentially replacing 3u access with no access at all. That's not an "upgrade".

    NL is, however,…

Thank you all for your feedback on this issue. Is this primarily an issue only with upgrades or also with autopurchases? I’d like to best understand the scope of the problem, and look forward to all additional feedback from those affected. Keep those great ideas and thoughts coming!

  6. Be able to select which user model to upgrade - not always the lowest access model.

When choosing to upgrade via LibCentral, and if you already have more than one user model (e.g. a 1U and a 3U), we need to be able to select which model to upgrade. i.e. Be able to chose if you upgrade the 3U or the 1U depending on your needs. Currently you can only upgrade the lowest access model. if an unlimited becomes available, you must first upgrade the 1U instead of being able to upgrade your 3U (and therefore pay a smaller upgrade price).

  7. Peak period short term license increase purchase

A service that would be great to support select titles in peak periods, if you could offer a 'peak period' unlimited access license for a short period 1-2 weeks. If we are experiencing a sharp peak if we could quickly activate a purchase to expand temporary unlimited access to our students, we could assist elevate the access issues they have during crucial, stressful times in their studies.

  8. Make EDI ordering and invoicing available on EBook Central

EDI ordering and invoicing is a key workflow process and making this possible via EBook Central would improve workflows and processes hugely.

  9. Improve order confirmation emails for GOBI

We currently place most of our ebook orders through GOBI. The order confirmation emails we receive from Ebook Central are pretty minimal. They only include the Title, Author, EISBN and access url. I opened a support ticket about this, but was told "orders submitted from YBP/GOBI provide limited details compared to the direct LibCentral order confirmations" and that I should submit an Idea Exchange request because it wasn't currently on their roadmap to fix this. It would be extremely helpful if these minimal emails at least included access model purchased. We make special notes for titles purchased with limited user…

  10. Pay for ebook purchased by credit card

Please create an option to pay for each ebook purchase with a credit card, rather than being invoiced. This would greatly improve the efficiency of our workflow and likely increase our utilization of the ProQuest eBook Central platform in our library. Thank you!

  12. Add a trigger stage to DDA Statements & Mechanism for accurately tracking triggers

ebook statements should be enhanced to indicate trigger stage (e.g. 1st trigger, 2nd trigger, purchase). Otherwise it requires manual reconciliation which is very time consuming. As well, there should be a mechanism to keep track of triggers even when a title changes price. Otherwise, customers exceed their preferred purchase settings with excessive loans.
