Eleazar Wheelock (1711-79) was the founder of Dartmouth College and a celebrated New England clergyman. Wheelock also worked to educate New England Indians at Moor's Indian Charity School. The Indian Charity School was originally located in Connecticut and later moved to New Hampshire.
Included in the microfilm collection are Wheelock's personal papers, and the formal archives and other documents relating to the early history of Dartmouth College and the Indian Charity School. Papers pertaining to the history of the town of Hanover through 1779 are also included.
