Overview

The catalogues of the department are now published on microfiche making them available for the first time to libraries everywhere.

Six catalogues between them cover materials on drama and entertainment from their origins to the present day. The fichier Lecomte is concerned with French theatrical entertainments written or performed from the seventeenth century to 1910. The historical Collections Rondel and Gordon Craig include materials from the beginnings to the twentieth century and there are catalogues of printed works acquired since 1963, of radio and television drama.

In all there are some 444,000 records.
