工会期刊系列提供了第一个且唯一全面的全面缩微汇总国家工会期刊。Filmed from the holdings of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin, The Johns Hopkins University library, and the U.S. Department of Labor library, Labor Union Periodicals reproduces virtually every national trade union periodical launched in the United States through 1955. Some of these titles date from the middle to late 1800s. Part 1: The Metal Trades leads off the series with publications from a diverse group of occupational and technological categories encompassed by the metal trades. Workers from small craft occupations as well as heavy industry are represented in Part 1_from 19th-century iron molders to 20th-century steelworkers, from carriage workers to auto and aircraft workers, from metal fabricators to machinists, plus shipbuilders, electrical workers, and equipment assemblers. The largest trade group by far, Part 1: The Metal Trades includes some of the most important labor union publications of the 19th and 20th centuries.
