The Leganto solution enables instructors to create reading lists and strengthen the library’s support for teaching and learning

The Leganto solution, branded “read!t” in its implementation at WU, is integrated with the Ex Libris Alma®library services platform and Ex Libris Primo®discovery and delivery solution, which the university has been using for a number of years. This tight integration facilitates the selection of course materials by lecturers and simplifies their search for titles in the library collection. By promoting collaboration between library staff and lecturers, the Leganto solution helps maximize the use of the library’s own resources.

Ulrike Kugler, head of information literacy at WU, commented, “We are happy that our students are now benefiting from seamless access to course resources through Leganto and that faculty members can easily discover resources in the library’s collection and make them available to students. We are already seeing how Leganto is strengthening the role of the library in teaching and learning.”

Ofer Mosseri, corporate vice president and general manager of Ex Libris for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, commented, ”We are glad that Vienna University of Economics and Business has joined the Leganto community. The Leganto solution makes library resources available in a timely manner and fosters an environment that encourages student engagement with their course content.”
